The respected elders are:
- The Matriarch of San Juan Capistrano and a generations-old San Juan Capistrano resident, Ce Ce Nieblas-Vasquez
- Patriarch of San Juan Capistrano, and a generations-old San Juan Capistrano resident, Happy Hunn
- Jim Reid, a great-grandson of Don Juan Avila, “El Rico” of the ranchero days
- Stephen Rios, the 8th-generation descendant of Feliciano Rios, who settled and built the earliest adobe still standing, housing the continuing legendary family on the famous Los Rios Street.
